What is included in the Performance Assessment Rubric?

The Rubric is a Compliant Training and Assessment Observation Checklist. It has been meticulously crafted to align with this Nationally Recognised Unit of Competency.  It includes six essential components, ensuring a thorough and effective assessment process:

1.    Assessment Information: This section includes fields for student details, assessment dates, and location.

2.    Guidance for Assessors/Supervisors: This section includes clear instructions for assessors and supervisors, on how to conduct the assessment process effectively.

3.    Observable Behaviours (Performance Criteria): This informative section includes detailed observable behavioural actions for each Performance Criterion. This ensures students’ comprehensive understanding of how the Elements and Performance Criteria should be demonstrated to effectively prepare for the Performance Evidence tasks.

4.    Assessment Conditions (Workplace or Simulation): If applicable to the Unit of Competency, this section includes a practical scenario for evaluating students’ skills and knowledge against the Performance Evidence tasks in a simulated environment. If assessment is conducted in a workplace, this section is irrelevant. In either case, the scenario effectively outlines the Performance Evidence tasks in a scenario-based format.

5.    Observable Behaviours (Performance Evidence): This assessment section includes a comprehensive checklist with detailed examples of observable behavioural actions for each Performance Evidence, applicable to both workplace and simulation assessments, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of students' skills and knowledge, leading to a successful completion of all Performance Evidence tasks.

6.    Declarations and Marking table: This section includes fields for assessor/supervisor details, declaration, feedback, and a marking table, ensuring a systematic and transparent recording of observations and assessment outcomes. In addition to fields for students’ declaration of their understanding and acknowledgment of the assessment process and outcome.
